Meet the Tutor
Lauren is a Premium Tutor who works with students who are preparing for the SAT, ACT, and PSAT; she also provides academic assistance for students in a variety of courses, including French and Philosophy. A Houston native, Lauren studied at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium before returning to Houston and earning a degree from the University of St. Thomas, where she graduated with academic distinction. She has been tutoring students since 2011 and tutoring the SAT and ACT since 2013. Lauren has experience working with students of all levels, including students with LDs. She says, "My tutoring style focuses on organization and understanding the process of learning. I have found that concepts become easier once students have identified what they know, the concepts with which they struggle, and where their goals lie. My goal as a tutor is to help students identify where and why they succeed or struggle and what steps they can take to meet their goals." When she isn't tutoring, Lauren enjoys traveling, wheel-throwing pottery, and rock climbing.
