Meet the Tutor
Ryan is a Premium Tutor who has worked with over 275 students since joining Applerouth in 2012. He has tutored multiple students who have gone on to achieve perfect section scores on their admissions exams, and he teaches college as his "day job." A lifelong learner, Ryan holds multiple advanced degrees, including a law degree, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior. Ryan tutors a wide range of subjects, including the SAT/ACT, GRE, and a number of AP and SAT Subject Exams. Ryan's tutoring philosophy involves teaching his students to understand the test on a structural level: "With any standardized test, the key is to understand key concepts and themes versus individual problems. Once you begin to see how the concepts and themes form patterns, the test becomes much easier." When Ryan isn't tutoring, he enjoys playing golf, traveling, college football and fine dining.
