Cori Dykman: Annapolis College Consulting

Cori Dykman works with high school and transfer students in the Maryland area, and outside of it. Families just need to meet me once, and then we can work remotely if that is best for them, or face to face. My advice is tailored to the individual needs of each of my clients, but my goal is always the same - admission to a college that the student loves. Many of my students (85%) have been accepted into every school which they applied to. Even more of them (91%) have been accepted by their first choice college.

I recognize that a successful college search also has financial aspects. In the last four years, clients have been awarded over $1.5 million dollars of merit money - in most cases this has been a wonderful return on investment for the families who have hired me.

Annapolis College Consulting partners with students and their families to design a program that addresses their unique needs, goals, challenges, and opportunities. I strive to help the student become more self-aware and build their confidence as they tackle this very important milestone. Through building resumes, learning interviewing skills, and enhancing the teacher student relationships in high school they learn skills which they can carry into their futures. I also do a financial seminar for them before they head off to college. Having me keep the students on track allows the parent/child relationship to be healthier and less stressful.

Since starting my business in 2008 I have visited well over 100 colleges, taken multiple courses, done extensive research, and attended IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association) international conferences on college consulting. I am a member of IECA and HECA so I can stay updated on this constantly changing and nuanced process. I graduated from The Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. I absolutely love what I do and that shows in my client relationships and my passion for this work.
