The Truth About College Admission

Rick Clark is a leading voice on college admission and the Common Application. For 22 years, he has held admissions roles at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he now serves as Executive Director of Strategic Student Access. He co-authored The Truth about College Admission and its companion workbook, and he created the Georgia Tech Admission Blog and the College Admission Brief podcast. An Atlanta native, he holds a B.A. from UNC–Chapel Hill and an M.Ed. from Georgia State.Rick is a nationally recognized voice on college admission and the Common App, with more than two decades of admissions leadership experience at Georgia Tech. He is co-author of The Truth About College Admission and its companion workbook, and creator of the Georgia Tech Admission Blog and College Admission Brief podcast. Rick holds a B.A. from UNC–Chapel Hill and an M.Ed. from Georgia State University.

Informed by her nationally recognized research background in data analysis and strategic decision-making, she has helped countless students gain admission to top undergraduate and graduate programs across the country. Carley graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama on a full academic scholarship before earning a graduate scholarship to Harvard University and completing doctoral work at UCLA. Having taught at UCLA, Loyola Marymount University, and Saddleback College, she focuses on helping students craft distinct narratives that highlight their unique strengths.
