Meet the Applerouth IEC Engagement Team
No matter where in the world you – or your students! – are, there is a member of the IEC Engagement Team here at Applerouth dedicated to supporting you. IEC Account Managers work hand-in-hand with our Program Managers and Tutors to provide the personalized, responsive support you have come to expect from Applerouth Tutoring Services. This month, we welcome Melissa Pluchos as the newest member of our team and bid a fond farewell to Emma Vigneault as she transitions to working full time on the Business Development side of Applerouth.
Ginger Fay joined Applerouth as Director of IEC Engagement in 2019 after 25 years in college admissions and counseling. A “Double Dukie,” Ginger earned her BA in Psychology and MA in Liberal Studies. She has worked in Undergraduate Admissions at Duke and Emory, College Counseling at Phillips Academy and The New School, and as Alumni Director at Sidwell Friends School. Ginger was an Independent Educational Consultant for 13 years with offices in Washington, DC and Atlanta. When she’s not working, she enjoys exploring Atlanta with her family.
What I love most about my job at Applerouth is helping IECs all over the country (and world!) think about how to broaden their practices and serve their students well.
Jenna works with IECs in DC, Maryland and Virginia, and also manages all tutors in that region. She graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia, earning a BA in English and Drama. She then traveled to London and earned a degree from LAMDA, after which she returned to the DC area to be closer to her family and decent Mexican food. She’s tutored at Applerouth for seven years and worked with IECs since 2015. She’s an enthusiastic baseball fan (Go Nats!) and enjoys traveling with her husband and extended family.
I love creating relationships with IECs so I can anticipate what their students will need and the kind of tutors who will bring out the best in them.
A BA graduate of Sewanee, Melissa earned her MA from the University of North Carolina and has more than 15 years of student services experience in secondary and higher education administration at four universities and an e-learning start up. As a former Associate Athletic Director, Student-Athlete Services Director, and Test Prep Academic Advisor, Melissa understands the importance of sound college planning and the impact of finding a good college fit. She joined Applerouth in 2020 where she connects with IECs in Chicago, North Carolina, and outside the US to help support students with their college preparations. The mother of twins, she loves being outside with her family, researching and taking vacations in the western United States, and getting lost in a good book.
I love assisting families with the academic journey of high school and college, especially when our tutoring services can help lead to improved college admissions results and scholarship offers.
As a Premium Tutor himself, Jesse logged thousands of hours working with hundreds of students across the globe. He brings this experience with him to the IEC Team as he supports independent educational consultants in Atlanta and the New York Tri-State area, as well as domestic IECs based outside of one of our other regional markets. Jesse studied Business Information Technology at Virginia Tech and has been working in the education field for over 10 years. He also studied acting at the famed Neighborhood Playhouse, and has appeared on stage in New York dozens of times. When not working or performing, he’s a full-time husband and dad of three.
My passion for helping students grow and achieve their goals has only intensified as I’ve worked more closely with like-minded IECs. I love being even a small part of this very exciting chapter in these young people’s lives.
