Abby Siegel is the founder of Abby Siegel & Associates, LLC, an educational consulting firm in New York City. Abby transitioned to independent educational consulting in September 2006 after 10 years as a school-based college counselor. Abby’s primary goal is to find colleges that are the right "fit" so her students have successful and rewarding post-secondary experiences.

How does this happen? Abby is widely recognized for her fun, hands-on approach and flexibility while working with students not only from the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, CT) but also from all over the world. Among the types of students Abby counsels include, but is not limited to, international students, student-athletes and those with learning disabilities. She focuses on providing a comprehensive journey for each student, covering topics such as researching and identifying colleges that are the right fit, creating and fostering academic goals, evaluating extracurricular activities, reviewing college essays and applications, and preparing for college interviews.

Abby has attended numerous college admissions workshops and conferences, participated in college counselor tours throughout the United States and Canada, and publicly presented about different aspects and issues of the college admissions process to parent and student groups.

Abby is a recipient of the University of Miami's Excellence in Counseling Award, a member of Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), the Southern Association For College Admissions Counseling (SACAC), and is an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA).

Abby is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and has a Master of Education from Loyola University Chicago.

Abby can be reached 212.702.9747 or through www.abbysiegel.com.
